An Emperor Penguin almost finished molting.
I had 3 goals when I came down to the Antarctic.
1. See penguins. Emperors and Adelies.
2. Stand on ice thats at least 2km thick.
3. Visit the South Pole.
So far 1 and 2 are crossed off my list. Tomorrow we are scheduled to go to the South Pole, so soon I’ll be checking that one off my list!

I can only imagine how you felt taking this photo. Not many people get to do something like this in life. Enjoy the moment - but don’t take too long because there are a bunch of people back here looking forward to seeing you again

I cannot believe that you are actually there. Way to go on completing those goals. I have never seen a picture of a penguin molting. It’s so cute and so lonely! So proud of you for being there.
