Becky in our hill side bungalow in Thailand. Thailand is awesome.. Cheap food, cheap accommodations (we only paid $36 a night for this place), and amazing views. Last night we watched several huge lightening storms roll past over Ko Samui. Currently we are on the island of Ko Phangan. Tomorrow, maybe Ko Tao? I like the style of travel here. Book one night and if you don’t like it, move on to the next hotspot.
I don’t understand why someone would pay an absolute fortune to go to the Maldives, where you are stuck on a small island with nothing but white sand and blue water to see. If it wasn’t so expensive it would be great, but why pay through the teeth when you can come to Thailand and spend a month for the same budget, and tour around. In the Maldives, once you are on the resort island, they know they have you for good. You can’t go to 7 eleven to grab a snack. You want water sir? That will be $10.

What a BEAUTIFUL pic, Lee! It’s like a travel brochure. Can hardly wait to see the lightening shots. Now this pic screams VACATION!
Nice! Ko Tao’s supposed to have excellent diving - put those new scuba skills to good use.
Both Moms like the color of the room.
Like Anna said, I am looking forward to the timelapse lightening shots. I know you couldn’t just watch without taking pics.
Great price!
I love the moon peeking out of the clouds. Great picture!
