Taken by my wife on our trip to Sri Lanka.
I’d love to have a job where someone paid me to go travel around the world on assignments to take pictures of amazing ways people live their lives. I wouldn’t want to be a war photographer, but documenting war torn countries is appealing. I love to adventure around and capture scenes that make peoples jaw drop. I’ve had a lot of jaw dropping moments in these past few years from the high arctic, to touring around south east asia. I think its partly due to the sheltered life we live back in Canada. Formerly my jaw dropped at the sight of gridlocked traffic on the QEW, or my local Second Cup coffee shop being closed for renovations.
I guess that its a dream job for a lot of amateur photographers. I’m sure if I had that job I’d think it would be the bees knees to have a job as a pilot. So, I guess I will continue to use my job as a venue to capture interesting shots.

And you do so very well at it all! This pic is kind of scarey. Was this part of a demonstration of sorts or just routine? More scarey if this was a common sight. And your comment about our sheltered life here in Canada couldn’t be more true.
It would be cool to travel everywhere to take pictures. But you also have an advantage with your career. You get to see way more than most people do.
Too bad you didn’t have a Canon……you could shoot people with your canon.
Well said Lee.
The camera ‘gun’ was a great idea, but the whole photo works extremely well largely on account of the crazy size differential between you and the short gun-toting dudes… and that the guy on the right looks like he might be right outta of high school. The fact that you’re hanging onto a really BIG camera is just icing on the cake!
PS: Pauly, I thought your canon crack was hysterically funny. HAHAHAHAHA
