Becky and I wandered around the sleepy mountain town of Ella, Sri Lanka, and happened upon ta Buddhist monastery where the towns citizens were celebrating the full moon festival called Poya. I asked this monk if I could take his picture, he obliged and in return he asked if I could e-mail it to him. Pretty neat, a monk with an email address..

Excellent photo, Lee! I’ve noticed that the monks tend to wear very bright colours. I find that interesting given their lifestyle (I think) is pretty conservative. But the colour is lovely! And he looks quite young - neat that he has an email!
Love this shot.
I love your portraits. They all have one thing in common: the subject or the model always look extremely(!) relaxed. And making your models feel comfortable is the most important quality of a photographer shooting portraits. Excellent work.
Another thing: how do you do the light? Are you using your sb-600?
