A Maldivian Family, standing in their doorway on a tropical island only 30 miles north of the equator.
Took this shot on an island down in the southern Gaafu Alif Atoll called Dhaandhoo. We walked around the island town for hours taking pictures of the scenery and the lovely people that live in the town.
It was amazing to see how people live in the Maldives where there isn’t any resorts near by.. Our friend Shaahina is building a luxary resort called Alila Villas on the nearby island of Hadahaa. She said that it would be interesting to come back here after her resort has been up and running for a few years, to see the effect that it has on the sleepy island of Dhaandhoo.
