Becky recently purchased a Nikon D90 which has the ability to record high definition video at 720p. I’ve been filming stuff all over Male’ and threw it into a video for you all to see what life is like on this small 1.5km x 1km island of 100,000 people. Sometimes a still picture isn’t enough.

Enjoy!

nice job lee, that was awesome. looks like a nice place to be for a photographer.
Very well done and put together. (And the quality of the images has me absolutely lusting after a D90 now. Not that I wasn’t before.)
An amazing video “postcard,” fly boy. You’ve really captured a sense of the place. The camera’s capabilities are impressive, but so are your creative instincts.
Fabulous! This sure gave me insight to the way of life in Male! I can’t help but think that the ministry of tourism in the Maldives would love this! This is just great, Lee!
Totally awesome video Lee. You sure you chose the right profession?
Nice one! Been following your photo blog for awhile as following you around the world is easier than doing it myself…. Not that I’m not jealous! I’m lusting after the sun right now being back in Vancouver, Canada. Keep up the good work!
By the way - I totally love the part when Becky’s saying “that’s my husband” to the guy and he’s just not getting it. Priceless!
I think he got it, it just didn’t sway him from his desire to have a picture of her. She should have just given him the URL of this site
Nice work Lee.
Great intro using the blurred lights of the scooters. Bye the way I would recognize those legs anywhere Becky! Loved the video. Dad and I laughed out loud, Becky, at your reaction to the guy hanging around taking your picture! Too funny!
Amazing Lee. I really am living through you and Becky right now admiring all of the pictures you have both taken. This definitely helps me dream of being there quite a bit easier haha. Sweet dreams for me tonight!
I was snorting with laughter at the “That’s my husband” bit. Thanks!
Becky, I think you should set up a stand and charge people to have their picture taken with you!
Lee and Becky - great job as usual. It really captures the look and feel of the Island and its people.
Lee, if you are to setup a stand I am ready to assist you . Every time I visit your page I was expecting to see the picture of the little squid that we caught the other night on the boat.
Great video, not only are you good with photos, but you kick butt with the video. I love it.
awesome video… haha
