Taken on a walk around the town of Negombo in Sri Lanka. I love the light in this picture. I think he was an official at the local jail just a few paces away from the bridge he was walking under.

Lee, this is an Incredible shot. Perfect composition, light, framing AND it tells a story - don’t know if you waited for something to happen in the doorway or if it’s right place right time. Doesn’t matter. You nailed it.
It’s a great photo. Great composition and the light is awesome.
I agree with all the above. The lighting, the subject, the colour all come together perfectly. It’s one of the photos that creates a thousand questions - nice job.
As I took another look, I realize that I would have been a little more than concerned if I saw this guy coming toward me, especially with the unrest in the country. I hope you smiled at him when he walked by.
I was hiding ‘out of the way’ around the right hand corner of the far end of the tunnel with our tuk-tuk driver-cum-tour-guide watching the jail-birds get off of the bus and into the prison while he took this. And I smiled at him
That’s a fantastic shot! Your archives are full of stunners!
Cool. Very totalitarian-looking.
how do you get exposures like this??
