Well I’m finally in the Maldives! The big city in the Indian ocean, called Malé, is where I’ll call my home for the next 6 months. I wont be flying for a few weeks yet as I have a ton of paperwork and documentation to go thought, but I am fine with that because I’m still jet lagged. It also gives me time to get established here.
Initial impressions.. The city is nuts! Scooters everywhere.. dodging and weaving along narrow streets packed with pedestrians.. so busy!
This is the first sunset I saw in Male, which was yesterday. Taken on the 15 min commute to the airport, by boat, which is called a Dohni. The city in the picture is the capital city, Malé.

Holy sheep crap. That’s a pretty spectacular shot.
missing the cold yet?!?
I love seeing what you’re seeing…can’t wait to do it while standing beside you

Nice start to your picture collection, Lee. Looking forward to seeing many more.
Wow… it looks like if I did a cannonball I could cover the whole city!
Awesome shot.
That just scares me.
Actually insane.

HAHA Kyra…I might try it.
very nice!
I think Male is hoping the whole global warming thing is a hoax… little rise in sea levels and Male will become Atlantis!
