Spring is almost over here in Inuvik.. Things are really drying up and the sun has been out in full force for the past few days with temperatures of +22. A few weeks ago you couldn’t walk anywhere without getting caked in mud.
So anyways, there is a story behind this picture. I was walking around Inuvik last spring checking out the big melt when I happened on a few kids riding their bikes through a massive puddle. The little guy yelled at me “Take my picture!”, so I did.. Half way through the puddle he takes his hand off his handlebars to wave at me, then procedes to crash and burn (freeze) in the deepest part of the puddle.. Queue crying. I felt so bad I helped him and his bike out of the puddle, effectively giving myself a soalker.
