My co-worker Simon and I have spent lots of time in Grise Fiord over the past few days due to customers needing holdovers. The feeling of isolation, the culture, and the beautiful scenery consumed us. Some people pay thousands of dollars to get this far north.. But for me.. Its my job. How cool is that?

Very cool, indeed! Beautiful picture, Lee - I noticed that mama isn’t wearing gloves?!? It sure looks cold tho! Your pictures are making it very difficult for me to decide - I’m at the point where I think I want each one that you post set up on a wall that I will call my ‘LeeWall’! hmmmmmmm….
doesn’t look cool at all, it looks terribly cold. Great shot though.
She’s wearing an amaut - a jacket with a large hood at the back that fits a child, handy no?
I have been viewing your site for a while, following your travels across the north. I was born and grew up in NWT and have been to many of the places you are working in. I miss being up there - yes, the winters too - it is “home” for me.
You are giving your camera a workout with all the white. I am sure the AWB will start complaining more when winter is in full, well - winter.
Great photos, keep them coming!
Exactly how cold is it, Lee? We are experiencing a rather warm October - love it.
