Kenn Borek Air runs two crew on their airplanes due to the pretty challenging things that they do. The captain sits on the left, the first officer on the right. In this picture we were about to land, and Josh has his hands on the power and Lindsay has her hand on the flaps. Our company has a set of Standard Operating Procedures that lays out what each pilots duties include so there is little confusion. In certain situations such as instrument meteorological conditions (landing in foggy days) having two people greatly reduces the workload.

Comp & Starkness are nice, but this is the essense of our profession. It isn’t “Me”, it’s always “Us”.
