Inuvik’s Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, often called Igloo Church, is a famous landmark in the region. It is the most-photographed building in the town- and I just added to the tally.  The funny thing about this photo is that it was taken at 10:00pm.  Even as I write this its extremely bright outside..  I had a tough time going to bed last night but I suspect I will adjust soon.

I missed a really really REALLY cool opportunity last night.  One of the crews had a charter to fly into Reindeer Station about 100km north of Inuvik.  They got to help herd about 1500 reindeer… HOW COOL IS THAT.  Damn.  If my phone was installed I probably would have gone.  Oh well.. hopefully there is a next time!

Becky - I got you a pair of night shades - those glammy ones the movie stars wear! Hopefully, they’ll block out the light (like they are suppose to!) Lee, do you want me to get you a pair too?

Nice quality of light on this building. Hope you get to see (and photograph) the reindeer herds!
