Mom, close your ears.
Icing on an aircraft is fine, up to a certain point. Too much ice on the wings/tail/anything that sticks oddly into the airflow decreases lift and adds a ton of weight sometimes drastically changing the characteristics of flight. The amount that an aircraft can take depends on the specific makes characteristics, how much power it has, and what anti ice equipment the aircraft is equipped with. Because of the operating environment that our aircraft fly daily in, we are equipped with several means of anti/preventitive ice measures– deice boots, prop deice, pitot heat.. etc. Needless to say, we can take it, but no one really likes ice on their aircraft.
Anyways, here is some ice on our wind shield when when we were out in Iqaluit.. Its quite a small amount, but it made some pretty cool patterns!

Nice texture ! Very beautiful !
Looks like frozen cobwebs
I won’t tell her.
