This little husky was pulling his/her little owner around the parking lot at the airport. Such a cute playful little pup! Unfortunately, when he grows up he will probably end up tied to a peg in middle of the lawn like so many other dogs around Inuvik- seems like every house around here has one. In the south we have ceramic gnomes, in the north, live dogs!
On another dog note- I went for a bike ride around the industrial end of Inuvik the other day and came upon a house with at least a dozen dogs in the back yard. I’m guessing he raises/keeps sled dogs. After they all barked at me they started to howl in unison.. It was pretty cool! Wonder if the owner ever gets any peace and quiet?

inuvik has “ends”? can you see one end from the other? i kid
cute puppy. i kind of want to hug him till asphyxiation
Oh ho ho, ADORABLE! Pets, a sure way to receive glowing comments.
what an adorable puppy. And as someone who lived next door to someone that owned 10+ outdoor dogs that barked at any new activity at all times of the day, especially at 2 in the morning… you actually get quite used to it and no longer notice it.
Forcing dogs to live at the end of a chain is cruel. For the facts: http://www.helpsleddogs.org/remarks-abuseinkennels.htm#chaining
Any chance you could save this one babe? He looks so sweet… I would give it a good home…. :0)
what a beautiful puppy !!!!
Hi Lee, I worked with Becky at Mac, she’s fabulous and I’ve heard a lot about you.
How sad that the dogs are treated that way, heart breaking really. Why are they chained like that?? I hope Becky has a new pet right about now.
