Me, all scruffy, trying to illustrate just how far away from home (Southern Ontario) I was. Eureka is at about 80 degrees north. The only thing after Eureka is Alert. I’m sure I’ll get there sometime.. but for now this is as close to the North Pole I have been.

Nothing should be that far north. No palm trees. No grass. No nothing.

The furthest I’ve been up north is Iqaluit and it was only because couldn’t land at Raglan mine close to deception bay, never even got off the plane.
