These flowers are all over Inuvik! They bunch up in pretty big quantities too- really pretty flowers. Not sure what they are called.. Sean? Little help here?
Anyways, this shot was taken in the ‘industrial’ part of town. There is a lot with a whole bunch of rundown junkers probably being used for parts. I like the contrast.



They are fireweed. If you drive the Dempster at this time of year, they line the highway and it is gorgeous.

I love pink flowers! Beautiful contrast, Lee! And still seems so odd to me that you have so many wild flowers ‘in the arctic’! Such beautiful flowers is not the first image I think of when I think of the geography of Inuvik! Can hardly wait to see it myself!
I moved here from Vancouver less than 3 months ago. I see there is a lot to look forword to.
