The other day I rode over to the NorthMart grocery store to grab some groceries. I locked my bike up, did my business, and when I came out two kids were admiring the old rockhopper. As I was unlocking it one of the kids said “Awesome bike dude”, and I promptly replied with a thanks. Then they proceeded to inform me that I should have removed my seat and all my quick releases as they tend to grow legs. I dually noted that and thanked them.
Anyways, The next day I bumped into them again as I was walking around town taking pictures. They greeted me with a “Wheres your awesome bike dude”. They were hanging out front of the youth center at around 10 or so at night.. Which is kind of cool, albeit late, at least the youth have a place to go. Anyways, the bazooka lens sparked interest and they wanted me to take a picture and here we go- my new friends!

Uh oh…..so now they know you have an awesome bike and a lot of expensive camera equipment. Better get a shotgun to keep around the house…..
Thinking that you need these guys as your friends. They seem to know the lay of the land. Perhaps you could volunteer at the youth centre to keep on top of things.
This is totally the Southpark crew. Kartman, Kyle and Kenny are completely recognisable.
Hi,
I followed a link from the Inuvik boot grille, Philippe Morin’s site, over here. Your photos are very impressive! Having your spouse write your bio is inspired! She did a great job of it too. I grew up in Niagara and had a summer job one year cutting the grass at long point. What a great campground! I’m taking my kids there this summer. Anyway, I’m glad to see your photos. You folks over there have far less snow than we do here. It looks as though you have trees growing in the area (if the igloo church is any indication) too.
like gary, i was directed here by phil morin’s site. i was interested in seeing your inuvik photos, as i lived there for 5 years (looks like i left right before you arrived). so far i have spent half the afternoon at work looking at your beautiful pics and have only just arrived in inuvik
i can definately attest to the disappearance of bike parts. i had my bike locked to a piling in the closed-in crawlspace under my house all winter, and when i went to take it for a muddy spring ride, you guessed it… no wheels, no seat. i couldn’t be too mad, though - some of those choppers that those kids hack together are works of art!
