Back in July there was a movie shoot for a production called “Closing the Ring starring quite a few well known actors. They transformed the front of the hanger I worked at into something that resembled an old 40’s airport. They also brought this restored B17 in for the shoot. I played around with it a bit in Photoshop and gave it an old photo style. Hope you like!

15 years before I was born, my uncle Walt was flying these from Hamilton Toronto and Ottawa to Europe for delivery, and bringing the mail from Canada. He departed your airport in one of these, and on takeoff one gear would not retract. He circled over the airport for 17 hours to burn off fuel before landing 100 yards behind your photo shoot.
17 hours! Was transport there to bust him for being over his duty day?
